Dr. Dinesh Madhushanka

Position / Role

Dr. Dinesh Madhushanka completed PhD in Applied Meteorology at Nanjing University of Information Science in Pukou District, Nanjing, China. He is also a Research Officer, GIS Specialist, and IT Executive at the Centre for Defence Research & Development in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Dinesh has led impactful projects focusing on leveraging geospatial technologies for applications such as forest fire analysis, deforestation monitoring, and coastal pollution prevention. Dinesh is proficient in various GIS software, programming languages, and remote sensing techniques. His expertise includes data acquisition, analysis, and visualization, with technical skills in Python, JavaScript, PHP, C#, Google Earth Engine, WRF, SQL Server, ENVI, SNAP Desktop, ArcGIS Enterprise, TensorFlow, MATLAB, SPSS, and server management.
