This page contains the details of the facilitators engaged with GRIT for organizing different trainings and workshops related to research and publication, proposal writing, data analysis, monitoring and evaluation, project management and EIA/IEE.


Dr. Raimi Morufu Olalekan is currently the Technical Adviser to the Executive Secretary, Bayelsa State Primary Health Care Board. He has worked with Niger Delta University (Department of Community Medicine), University of Maiduguri (Department of Geography), University of Uyo (Center for Wetlands and Waste Management Studies) and Kwara State University (Department of Environmental Health). He is the author or co-author of more than 100 scientific publications and expert papers in American, European and Asian journal to his credit, 20 research projects under way including cumulative impact assessment of air quality and assessment of digital debris management in health Institutions in South-South, Nigeria. He has served as a key note speaker in many International and Local Conferences and has attended a number of certified educational seminars, participants of numerous symposiums in Nigeria and abroad.

Prakash Chandra Kasera is an Assistant Professor, Department of Education, Bayalasi P.G. College, Veer Bahadur Singh Purvanchal University, India. He has presented 35 research papers at national and international seminars, and served as an editor and reviewer for numerous journals and conferences.


Roshan Paudel is a skilled Civil Engineer specializing in Hydrology, Climate Change, and Water Resources Planning. He holds a Master's degree in Water Science and Engineering from the Netherlands' IHE Delft Institute and a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Nepal's Tribhuvan University. Proficient in GIS, Hydrological Modeling (HEC-HMS), and MS Office, Roshan currently serves as a Lecturer and Research Officer at Himalayan WhiteHouse International College, Nepal. He previously held the role of Deputy Head of the Department of Civil Engineering at Acme Engineering College. Roshan's achievements include being a Netherlands Fellowship Program (NFP) recipient, contributing to the Water Quality Index for the Morobe Development Foundation Inc. as a UN Online Volunteer, and working on the "Our Dream City: Piloting at Pyangaun, Lalitpur" project supported by the British Council-Nepal. He also holds the position of Joint Secretary at the Netherlands Alumni Association of Nepal (NAAN).

Auwal Garba is a lecturer at the Department of Environmental Management Technology, Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University, Bauchi, Nigeria. Auwal is an Environmental Scientist, having a B-Tech in Environmental Management Technology, M.Sc in Geography (Climatology) and currently pursuing his Ph.D in Environmental Management Technology (Climate Change).

Dr. Gaikwad Lokpriya Mohanrao is currently working as an Assistant Professor &  NAAC Coordinator in the Mechanical Engineering Department at SIES Graduate School of Technology, Navi Mumbai. He has 18.5 years of industrial & teaching experience and is currently awarded a Ph.D. (Technology) in the area of Lean, Green, and Six Sigma strategy, at Mumbai University. He has contributed more than 30 papers at national/international levels at various journals and conferences. He is a fellow member and board member of the international research group. He is also reviewing research papers for reputed International Journals.

Suja did her Bachelor in arts and social work from St. Xavier College, Maitighar and Master Degree in Environment Education and Sustainable Development from Kathmandu University. She has worked in many INGO's and NGO's since 2007. She has attended international and national conferences and published research articles in reputed journals. Till date she has been able to gather experiences related to community based work, workshops, trainings and conferences. She is also Editorial Assistant for Journal of Sustainability and Environmental Management. She is the Country Coordinator for GRIT and heads the operation team. She has expertise in effective leadership and strategic skills making strong, established bonds with key constituents and stakeholders.

Kyaw Than Oo is a senior meteorologist/climatologist from Myanmar and also a Ph.D. scholar at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, Nanjing, China. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and has a Master of Meteorology degree. After serving as a pilot for 6 years in Myanmar Air Force (MAF) since 2014, and he was promoted to the Meteorology Department of MAF, as a Head of the Department in 2012. He has also served as Meteorologist at the National HA/DR Committee at the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology (MYANMAR), especially in applied aviation meteorology. He has been lecturing meteorology-relative subjects in Meteorology Courses (DMH, Myanmar) since 2017. He has attended and passed online technical courses from various international organizations such as United Nations, WMO, CLIVAR, MACQUARIE University, and UCAR too. He has written and published eight articles related to atmospheric and climate science and also a reviewer at various international journals such as Climate Risk Management, Advance in Meteorology, and International Journal of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences

Dr. Surendra Singh Jatav is currently working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Economics, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow. Prior to joining BBAU, he worked as guest faculty at the Central University of Jammu and Research Associate at ICAR-National Institute of Agricultural Economics and Policy Research, New Delhi, and a Senior Research Fellow at ICAR-Indian Agriculture Statistics Research Institute, New Delhi. He has published more than 40 papers in highly cited and internationally recognized journals. His areas of research are climate change, rural development, livelihood security, food security, and livelihood vulnerability of rural farmers and urban slum dwellers.

Angel Lhi D. Alcalde is currently a PhD scholar at the University of Southern Mindanao in Kabacan, North Cotabato. She completed her masters in Biology from the University of Southern Mindanao (USM). Currently, she is engaged as an instructor in the College of Arts and Sciences at Notre Dame of Midsayap College. She is a certified professional teacher, a research and content consultant, and a student coach for research and biology. She is known for resolving specific problems, is a research-oriented individual who is dedicated to her work, and has a strong sense of purpose in life. She has been recognized as an Outstanding Teacher for her exemplary contribution to her field of interest.

Dr. Rama Prajapati obtained her degree in Pharmacy with gold medal from Kathmandu University, Nepal. With the Danish Government scholarship, she did her Msc. in Pharmaceutical sciences from University of Copenhagen, Denmark. For her master thesis, she worked under the supervision of Associate professor Dr. Anan Yaghmur for the preparation and characterization of lipid nanoparticles for cancer therapy and arthritis. Later, she carried out her PhD in Pharmacy at IMDEA Nanociencia under the supervision of Dr. Alvaro Somoza with Marie-Curie Co-funded La Caixa fellowship. She has five first author papers in high impact international journals. Her research interests are focused on the use of Nanocarriers in cancer therapy.

Prabin Shrestha is a seasoned research paper trainer with a strong academic foundation, holding an MBA degree from the Ace Institute of Management. Drawing from his diverse roles as a Research Assistant at the National Business Initiatives (NBI) and his contributions to data accuracy and refinement as a Supervisor and Coder/Editor at the Central Bureau of Statistics, Prabin has cultivated a profound expertise in data analysis and research methodologies. 

Aroyehun Adeyinka Richard is a PhD Scholar at University of Port Harcourt, Rivers State (specialized in Agricultural Finance and Project Management). He is currently engaged with Rivers State Universal Basic Education Board, Rivers State.
Aaditi Khanal is an academician, researcher, trainer and Marketing & Communication professional. She has a wide range of work experience in tourism industry. She is also an academician and a freelance researcher. She has a professional experience of more than 8 years in academic, tourism development as well as research-based organization. Ms. Khanal was awarded with the prestigious NORHED Fellowship to complete her Master Degree in Conflict, Peace and Development Studies jointly from the Tribhuvan University, Nepal and the Ruhuna University, Sri Lanka. She has represented Nepal at various national and international platforms and conferences. Her major professional expertise lies in conducting qualitative research, communication, marketing, academic and commercial content creation, editing as well as report writing. She has been associated as the editorial team member of various academic as well as commercial publications. Further, she has a number of research articles published to her name. She is also the coauthor of the book titled, “Tourism Policy, Planning and Development in Nepal. She is keenly interested in qualitative research. She is associated with various academic institutions as lecturer for subjects like research methodology, conflict management, English language and so on. 

Manisha Ghimire is a passionate hydrology researcher with a Master's degree in Environmental and Political Science. Her interests encompass water resources, hydro-geochemistry, hydrological modeling, climate change's influence on water systems, and water governance with GIS modeling. Equipped with robust research, communication, and collaboration skills from interdisciplinary studies, Manisha thrives on embracing new learning experiences in challenging environments, poised to make a significant impact in hydrology research.

Jaya Koirala is an enthusiastic person working in the Girl's Leadership Education Program and doing social research. As an experienced worker, she has a positive attitude, shares her ideas, and works with dedication and empathy. She has sound knowledge of program design and project management. 

Manish Sharma is currently working as an Assistant Professor at Civil Engineering Department at Rajkya Engineering College Mainpuri UP, India. His research areas include Earthquake Engineering, Structural Dynamics and Retrofitting.

Jean de Dieu Ndayisenga is a research scientist in atmospheric and climate science. His research interest focus on climate change and its impact on air pollution, weather variabilities and environment. He completed his masters in atmospheric and climate science at University of Rwanda, College of Science and Technology.



Prabha Maharjan is a dedicated environmental enthusiast and visionary freelancer. Holding a degree in Environmental Science with distinction from Tribhuvan University, Nepal, Prabha's passion for environmental sustainability has driven her to become an invaluable asset in her field. Prabha's influence grew through her participation in the 7th SAYEN Regional Meet in Dhaka, Bangladesh, where she showcased innovative projects for a sustainable future, earning her recognition as a remarkable youth change maker. Another milestone was her role as an international delegate at the Asia Pacific UNEP TUNZA Children and Youth Conference in Ahmedabad, India, where she proposed community-centered sustainable development projects and envisioned a Youth Network to drive green economies and empower young innovators. Her coordination of events and training programs for youths, coupled with her knack for promoting wise resource usage and alternative energy technologies, stands as a testament to her unwavering commitment to a greener future.


Deepak Marahatta has over a decade of experience in disaster risk reduction, humanitarian response, climate adaptation, human rights, community development, governance, and SDGs. He founded the Disaster Education Promotion Office (DEPO), dedicated to advancing disaster risk reduction education in Nepal. With a Ph.D. pursuit at Tribhuvan University, his research zeroes in on disaster resilience and sustainable livelihood. With dual Master's Degrees in Environment Education and Sustainable Development from Kathmandu University, and Rural Development from Trivuwan University,  Marahatta shines as a Professional Fellows Program alumnus. His AEIF 2021 grant-winning project, "Strengthen the Role of School on Disaster Risk Reduction Education," empowers teachers, students, parents, and communities in Gorkha through capacity-building efforts. He's also a skilled DRR education trainer and collaborates internationally with organizations like CITYNET Yokohama Project Office and Plus Arts, NPO. Previously, he's made impactful contributions to JICA Nepal, Hellen Keller International, World Education, INSEC, and ASD in Nepal.

Ashpreet Kaur is a PhD scholar at the School of Natural Resource and Environment (SNRE), University of Florida, USA. She has a deep interest in areas such as waste management, environmental policies, policy analysis, planning, and environmental governance. Additionally, she serves as a Zero Waste Associate at Zero Waste USA.

Subash Kushwaha is a GIS expert and Forest Officer at Harion Municipality, Government of Nepal. With a wealth of experience in natural resource management, he provides technical support in community-based forest management, agroforestry, and private forestry. He holds an M.Sc. in Forestry from the Institute of Forestry, Tribhuvan University, with expertise in Natural Resource Economics, agroforestry, Geographical Information Science, Forest Protection, and land management. He is proficient in R Programming, GIS, Google Earth, Microsoft Office, SPSS, Google Maps, GPS Tracking, and GPS Garmin.
